Connect with our PTO
Our Sheridan Hills community is strong because of the involvement of our parents in supporting their children and our school.
The Sheridan Hills PTO (Parent and Teacher Organization) serves our school community in many ways. We encourage all parents to volunteer to help with events and/or to attend our PTO-sponsored events. Whether you can volunteer to help out during an event, getting donations or supplies for an event, or helping to organize–our PTO needs you!
Some of our PTO events include: fall and winter community nights, movie nights, Fun Fair (in April) and parent information presentations on topics such as growth mindset, children’s mental health and the challenges of parenting in today’s world.
You can learn more about the Sheridan Hills PTO by visiting their website or liking them on Facebook.
Volunteer
If you're interested in volunteering, please contact our main office to inquire about opportunities or complete the districtwide volunteer interest form. All volunteers working in schools and/or with students will need to clear security measures including background checks for various roles. Contact us or email the District volunteer coordinator at volunteer@rpsmn.org for more information.
Donate
There are several ways to support our students through financial gifts as well as in-kind donations. All donations should be made through one of these approved channels. Donations are accepted and approved by the Board of Education.
Donations
- School supplies can be purchased and donated at any time. You can contact our main office to inquire about specific needs or drop-off times.
- Adopt-A-Classroom: Through Adopt-A-Classroom, teachers and staff create pages with items that they are seeking for their classroom or program. Donors can select the items they wish to purchase and the items are delivered directly to the school. You can search by school name, teacher name and more.
Financial Gifts
- Donate to our school online through our Sheridan Hills Elementary GiveMN page.
- Support our PTO either through a cash donation or one of their fundraisers. (Note: The PTO is not part of the District and they operate outside of school or District oversight. To donate to the PTO, contact them directly.)
