Celebrating Theresa Halpern’s Retirement!

After 24 years at Sheridan Hills—and 35 years in education—Theresa Halpern is retiring! As a beloved first and second-grade teacher and mentor to student teachers, Theresa has nurtured countless young learners with compassion, patience, and heart.

One of her most cherished memories? A former student, quiet and shy, who visited her every year on her birthday just to say “happy birthday”—even singing to her one year in a moment that still warms her heart.

Originally from International Falls, Minnesota, Theresa finds joy in time with family, friends, and nature. In retirement, she looks forward to relaxing, traveling, taking on home and garden projects, and giving back by volunteering to rock babies in the NICU.

Thank you, Theresa, for your decades of dedication and the love you’ve poured into every classroom. You’ve left a beautiful legacy.
